NoCo ARTS presents Appalachian Echoes, a juried exhibition celebrating the rich cultural heritage, folklore, landscapes, and enduring folk traditions of the Appalachian region.

From mist-covered mountain ridges and winding backroads to stories passed down on front porches, Appalachian culture carries a powerful legacy of resilience, craft, music, storytelling, and deep connection to the land. This exhibition presents contemporary interpretations inspired by:

• Appalachian folklore and storytelling

• Mountain landscapes and natural environments

• Folk traditions and handmade practices

• Music, quilting, craft, and generational knowledge

• Cultural memory, identity, and regional history

Artists were encouraged to explore both traditional and modern perspectives — honoring heritage while reimagining its meaning in today’s world.
